    Home to two of the most famous forts in the region, namely Kanakadurga and Suvarnadurga, Harnai Port is also one of the biggest fishing harbours in the country. You can find around 29 rock caves of various different sizes here, all scattered alongside the river bank. Kadyavarcha Ganpati Temple:

    Dedicated to Lord Ganesha, this ancient temple is located in the Anjarle region in Dapoli. Built in 1150 A.D., it was later reconstructed in the late 1760s. The temple is built atop a cliff, and offers stunning views of the Surrounding landscapes of the hamlets. In addition to a stunning architecture, the temple has pillars that are made of woodand add grandeur to the structure. The temple is one of the only Lord Ganesha temples in the country which has a right-side placement of the idol, which means that Lord Ganesha’s trunk curves towards the right, which is quite rare.

    This is a stunning black sand beach in Dapoli, with the turquoise waters of Arabian Sea acting as its background. Sprawled across 1.75 kilometres, the beach is one of the most famous beaches in Maharashtra and is great for enjoying water sports and other beach activities like parasailing, banana boat ride and horse riding, amongst others. It is from here that you can enjoy the magical views of the sunset, or the ancient ruins of the Janjira Fort along with the island of Padmadurg.     Located in a small hamlet called Asud in Dapoli, the Keshavraj Temple is an ancient temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The road to this old temple can be accessed by foot, and one has to walk through dense lanes full of coconut, mango, cashew and betel nut trees on either side, which adds to the thrill of the location. The temple is said to have been built by the Pandavas in one single night, and has a magnificent statue of Lord Ganesha at the entrance. You can also find a natural spring that originates from the hilltop and flows down to the front of the Keshavraj Temple, adding to its opulent beauty.

Mangaon

Mangaon is a small town (and taluka) in the Konkan region of Maharashtra, India. It is located in the Raigad District, 80 kilometer (49.7 miles) from Alibaug headquarters, and 119 kilometres (73.9 miles) from the state capital of Mumbai, towards the Panjim side. Roha

Roha is a small city and taluka in the Raigad district of the Maharashtra state of India. It is located 120 km southeast of Mumbai. It is the starting point of kokan railways and end point of central railways(Mumbai). Many chemical industries have opened up their manufacturing bases in Roha. Roha is located between the banks of the Kundalika Rever and the hills of Kalasgiri. It has a population of over 20,849.Roha is connected to Mumbai by Panvel-Roha railway line. Roha is also the northern end of the Konkan Railway. Roha is off of the Mumbai Goa Highway, via the Kolad road.

Main Attraction :
Roha is very well known for its Dhavir Temple. Dhavir Maharaj is the prime deity of Roha. Every year the town celebrates Navratri by holding a ten-day festival called Dasra at the Dhavir Temple. On the day following Dasra, a Palkhi carrying the statute of Dhavir Maharaj is taken through the town where it visits each house for the Aarti. It is presumably, only after Durga, Kolkata, that the palkhi is given government salaami (21 gun salute) with full honours.

Industrial Growth :
Roha has a huge industrial setup. This area is a Chemical Industry Zone as declared by Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC), which was set up in the 1970 is located at Dhatav. Roha Industrial Area has many industrial units. Majority of these are chemical process industries. The late '70s and early '80s saw a major influx of people related to the chemicals industry which gave a unique cosmopolitan nature to Roha which was till then only a farming and trading town. The recession of the early 2000s saw many units being closed down. However several Industries are still operating.

Khopoli

Khopoli is an industrial city in the Khalapur taluka of Raigad district in the Indian state of Maharashtra, at the base of the Sahyadri mountains. Patalganga River which is the tailrace channel of Tata Hydroelectric Power station flows through Khopoli. It is a Municipal Council and is a part of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. Khopoli Municipal council covers an area of 30 km2. Khopoli is served by a Railway station connected to the Mumbai suburban railway by a single line from Karjat. The distance between CST to Khopoli is 114.24 km along the Central Railway Suburban Line which is a Broad Guage line carrying electric Locomotives.

It is also located on NH 4 about 80 km south of Mumbai. Khopoli is located approximately at a distance of 80 km from Pune. Khopoli is considered to be located in between Mumbai and Pune with both cities located approximately at the same distance. Panvel is a locality in Raigad District of Maharashtra in Konkan region, and is a node of Navi Mumbai city. It is highly populated due to its closeness to Mumbai & Pune. Panvel is located in the Mumbai Metropolitan region. Panvel is the first Municipal Corporation in Raigad and the 27th Municipal corporation of Maharashtra State. Panvel lies approximately 40 kilometers east of Greater Mumbai right outside the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. New Panvel is strategically located on the eastern side of the Mumbai-Bangalore National Highway (NH-4) and the Mumbai-Pune Expressway.

It is well connected to rest of India by road and railway. New Panvel is divided in two parts – New Panvel East and New Panvel West (commonly known as Khanda Colony). They have 19 and 23 sectors respectively. It has separate railway station for Panvel and Khandeshwar. Khed

Khed is a town with a Municipal council, in the Ratnagiri District. Situated on the Mumbai-Goa Highway, NH 66, it is surrounded by a number of villages. Khed is the headquarters of Khed Taluka which connects the district administration with the village administration. Alphanso Mango are grown in the area around the town. Khed lies off National Highway NH 66, popularly known as Mumbai-Goa Highway, which connects Khed with cities like Manglore, Panaji, Madgaon, Karwar and Udupi. The Bharna Naka – Khed road, part of state highway SH-106, connects NH-66 to the town of Khed. Khed has a railway station on the Konkan Railway line and a Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation(MSRTC) bus station connecting Khed taluka to major cities in Maharashtra. Khed railway station connects three taluka (Dapoli, Mandangad, and Khed) to the railway map of India.

Several factories that produce Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals are located in Khed. Furthermore, the Maharashtra Industrial Development  Corporation(MIDC) has developed the Lote-Parshuram industrial area in Khed.

Dapoli

Dapoli is a town in Ratnagiri District, Maharashtra. It is 215 km (134 mi) from the state capital of Mumbai. Dapoli is also known as Camp Dapoli  as British set their camps in Dapoli. Many high-ranking British officers' graves are found in this town. The town also has an abandoned church from the time of the British Raj. Dapoli is home to one of the biggest Agricultural Universities in India, Dr. Balasaheb Sawant Kokan Krishi Vidyapith. Dapoli is administered by the Dapoli Municipal Council. The town is located at an altitude of 800 ft (240 m). It is also called "Mini Mahabaleshwar” because of its year-round cool weather. It is 8 km (5.0 mi) from the Arabian Sea and acts as the main town for several small surrounding.

The Mumbai Goa National Highway No 17 and NH 66 connect Dapoli with Mumbai while SH 70, 96 and 102 link Dapoli with Pune. Dapoli is located about 220 km from Mumbai and 185 km from Pune. MSRTC (Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation) buses daily ply to Dapoli from chief destinations in western Maharashtra and Konkan such as Mumbai, Pune, Kolhapur, etc. One can also use the private luxury buses operated from Mumbai and Pune or rent a cab.

Khed Railway Station located at the distance of 29 kilometers from Dapoli is the nearest railhead that can be availed for reaching Dapoli via train. Khed is a stoppage on the Konkan Railway Line and provides connectivity with several major cities including Mumbai, Panvel, Pune, Ratnagiri, Chiplun, Sawantwadi etc through a number of regular trains.

Chiplun

Chiplun is a city and a tehsil in Ratnagiri District in the state of Maharashtra, India. It is the headquarter of Chiplun taluka and located on the Mumbai-Goa highway NH-66. The city is about 320 km south of Mumbai in the Konkan region of Maharashtra. It is a fast developing city in Konkan with a strong cultural background. The city lies near the source of the River Vashishti. To the east of the city lie the Western Ghats and to the west lies Guhagar taluka which was carved out of Chiplun taluka. The region has a tropical climate. The 'rainy season‘ the Monsoon lasts normally from June until October. The Koyna Hydroelectric Power Project Stages III and IV are situated near Chiplun.

Chiplun is connected to other parts of the country mainly by National Highway 66. The Konkan railway also connects to these places by train along with Delhi and Jaipur. There are two MSRTC bus stations. Guhagar

Guhagar is a census city in Ratnagiri District. Guhagar is known for its virgin beach, Coir items, coconuts, betel nuts and mainly Hapus i.e. Alphonso Mango. The nearest city and railhead is Chiplun, about 44 kilometres (27 mi) away. The economy of Guhagar boomed after the Dabhol Power Company, a few kilometres north was commissioned in the early 1990s. Hotels sprung up and residents were given well-paid jobs. Guhagar is famous for Durga Devi Temple, Guhagar and Vyadeshwar  temple. Sangameshwar

Sangameshwar Taluka is a taluka in Ratnagiri District. The headquarters for the taluka is the town of Devrukh In Sangameshwar the two rivers Sonavi and Shastri flow together. The meaning of Sangama in Marathi is confluence, and so the name "Sangameshwar". It is historically important as the place where Sambhajiraje, son of Chhatrapati Shivaji was captured by Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb. Chhatrapati Sambhaji was tortured and executed in Tulapur.

Kudal is situated on Karli River in southwest Maharashtara. Kudal is the fourth largest town in Sindhudurg after Sawantwadi, Malvan and Kankavli. Kudal supports one MIDC area. Kudal Railway Station is located on the Konkan Railway route and connects the town with Mumbai on the north and Manglore on the south. It is a major stop for the Konkan Railway with many trains having a halt. NH 66 passes through Kudal. Apart from that, it also has two bus stations, a new one and old one. The name Sindhudurg is a combination of words Sindhu, which means the sea, and Durg, which translates to a fort. It was built by the great Maratha warrior King, Chattrapati Shivaji. He chose this rocky island location to suit his strategic purpose of countering foreign forces, and to keep the Siddis of Murud-Janjira in check.
